Everyday customers came to me needing parts and pads for their evaporative (“swamp”) coolers, but all too often, they wouldn't know the size that they needed. This would lead to a game of twenty questions and most of the time I would have to send them back home to measure or to bring in the part. This was time consuming for both of us and embarrassing for them.
